Guten Tag

Good Day. Wow, we have been MIA from the blog. All is well in the Boyack household. We are enjoying Fall & life (could we just have weather like this all year, please?)
We headed up to Oktoberfest, which is always a good time. Grandma G was prepared with the Lederhosen for the kids, and they were a hit. They were the stars of the dance floor.

Will's 1st b-day

We celebrated Will's 1st birthday. What a great day. This year has flown by. We had a birthday party with friends & family. It was a memorable day, and fun to look back with Wes on this past year with Will added to our family. He is a lovable little guy, and we are grateful for him.

Will diving into his cake. He enjoyed the cake and all the attention. He knew he was the star of the party. He gradually took bites of his cake, and then started shoving it into his mouth, and was thoroughly enjoying it.
This is the crown I made him...it lasted about 2 sec. Long enough to get a picture.
Opening presents. Of course the tissue paper was the best part

Loving his new Radio Flyer rocket
More cake photos...

Thank goodness for a beautiful day to sit outside enjoy friends & family and let Will go to town on his cake. I especially love the kids chanting, "Grab the cake, grab the cake", Our friend Josh wearing a kilt, and Sammy saying, "Watch out for the bolts of lightning from his arse."

Happy Birthday William Wallace, our little Braveheart!

Summer update

I can't believe it is the middle of August. Where does time go? We have had a great Summer. Will is getting big (almost one!). He is officially turning into a little curious toddler. He wants to open & close everything, make messes, and have little meltdowns when he doesn't get his way. Where did my baby go?
At Canyon Rim Park enjoying the swing
I still love to make a Mohawk with his hair...
I think it is too cute (although it now falls flat:(
And his cute U of U shirt. Go Utes!
Wes & I were also able to get in some boating time. Fun, Fun.
Getting ready to wake surf
Will receiving his first scolding from me (how did Wes capture this moment?)
He has been biting. Where did he learn this, and what do to?
How cute are baby's sleeping on their tummys with their bums in the air?
Seriously, I love this, and often peek in on his naps just to capture this position.
Wes & Will
More boating time.
Will's 2nd haircut.
Who is the big boy loving the trike?

Making messes! Toys are for throwing all over the place, right?

where to begin???

Since I am too lazy to make an organized post, I am just going to post some pictures & a few details about what we have been up to.
Boring? Yes, I know. But seriously, who has the time?
To start...Here is Wes & Will with a 'U' cake. Of course our little guy will grow up cheering for the Utes. Does he really have a choice? Yes, of course he does, but if he doesn't love the Utes he would have one heartbroken dad.
Boyack cousins...(missing a few, wish you were here!). Morgan, Ashley & their boys are in town. It has been great to see them. Will loves these boys. And of course Caroline, Madi & baby Blake too.
Will headed down his first slide with cousin Savannah. I was of course more nervous than anyone.
Will & Grandpa Bill @ Canyon Rim park
Will still loves his Johny Jump up... thankfully. He cracks himself up while bouncing all over the place in this thing.
Will & Grandma Nancy
Will & Grandma G picking up us from airport (Will acted shy went he first saw us).
Wes & I went to CA for 5 days & 4 nights...just a little getaway (post nursing trip-I finally felt free to be gone.-such a love/hate relationship with Nursing). We had a fun time. Will stayed the first two nights with my folks & the last 2 nights with Gaylynne & Wally. He had such a great time. It sure made it easy for us to be gone (of course we missed him like crazy & watched all the other kids while @ Disneyland), but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Disneyland, CA Adventure, the beach, shopping, Rite Aid Ice Cream, In N Out Burger (yes, somehow it tastes better out of state while on vacation), pedicures, & of course some R & R.
Will & Papa Wally
More Boyack cousin time up Millcreek canyon
Some Earl cousin time too
Wes @ Balboa Beach, CA
Our must-have picture @ the Wishing Well @ Disneyland. Gotta go back to the place where it all began, right? (we got engaged here)
