The Sam's Club dilemma

For the record, Wes & I started going to Sam's Club more and more because we just cannot handle the crowds at Costco. Walk into Sam's Club anyday, anytime of the week, and you can get your shopping done without out feeling like you are battling and bullying your way through the crowds of people just to get your cart down the isle.
However, it does come with some drawbacks as well...poor customer service, slow check out lines (although there usually aren't many people in them), employees that struggle with social skills, and so on.
I went to Sam's Club on Monday to get our Christmas cards printed...and needless to say it has been quite the ordeal.
And, this is how they turned out....

Hello!! Does it look like their is a baby in this picture? And when I told the employee these were not the right Christmas cards (right photo, wrong card), she just said, "You could just send them to people as a joke." Ha ha, like I already don't get enough questions about having a baby. So the dilemma continues...Sam's Club or Costco?

Thanksgiving 2007

What a great Thanksgiving weekend we had. A delicious Thanksgiving dinner, and good 'ol family fun! All in all, a fantastic time spent with family and a well needed relaxing break from work. The entire weekend was wonderful...except to the Utah Football game disappointment:(
When are the Utes going to catch a break?

Another October Birthday!

My Birthday... And I have to admit I am in denial about it. I do not want to be 27 (just that much closer to 30). Although Wes keeps reminding me that because my birthday is on the 27th, being 27 is going to be a good year. My birthday was on Saturday, which was great. Who wants their birthday on a weekday when you have to be at work? Wes & I got up, went to the gym, went to lunch with Wally & Gaylynne, watched the Utah game at my parents (with the fam.), and then had a delicious dinner at Citrus Grill. Thanks Wes for a great Birthday!
Wes surprised me with a sewing machine and a cute Utah beanie
Amy & Wes-watching the Utes beat Colorado
Bill & Nance-cheering for the Utes (with my Dad's cane...he had hip surgery last week)

Cute Paxton & Gabi

Delicious dessert!

Thriller

Last week Wes got tickets for us (and the Randall's and Kruger's) to see 'Thriller' up at Kingsbury Hall. This is turning into a little Halloween tradition for us, which I love. The performance and dancing were great, and it really does get you into the Halloween mood (I really do love Halloween). Besides how can you not love anything that makes you think if the 80's, and the Michael Jackson Thriller video?

Wes' Birthday bash continued...

Wes & I went up to Park City and had a wonderful time. We rode the Alpine Coaster, which was a blast (and a little scary, I might add!)
We ate at a yummy Mexican restaurant, and stayed at the Mountain Side Marriott. While heading back to SLC, we of course stopped at the Outlets for some good shopping at the Gap and Old Navy.

Murder Mystery Dinner-"Burritos & Banditos'

Last weekend we attended a Murder Mystery Dinner hosted by my co-worker Christina and her husband Chris. The setting was a small town in Mexico ('Adios'). This was our second Murder Mystery Dinner, and it was a blast. The food, costumes, characters, and puns were great. We look forward to these Murder Mystery Dinners-annually!
