December 2008 (catch-up)

Wow, I am way behind, but figured I needed to catch up with December. Wes & I had a great month, and were able to spend so much time together, after his finals, and then our employment giving us time off work for the holidays...THANK YOU! With our trip back East to DC & Williamsburg at the beginning of the month, and then returning to work for just a few days before the holidays, the month flew by. It was so fun to spend time with family and friends.

Amy & Wes in Williamsburg
Our Williamsburg mugs, with hot cider refills-Thanks to Wally & Gaylynne for not only lending us their 2008 Williamsburg mug, but their 2007 mug also. Wes & I would be 'sneaky' and get a refill with the 2008 mug, pour it into the 2007 mug, and then get another refill with the 2008 mug, so we could each have one. Yes, we sure did this often, and no, we did not feel one bit guilty about it. It was delicious, and kept us warm.
In Alexandria, VA. These were our drinks, served in pitchers
Wes & I love going back to DC since that is where we met, 'Ahhh!'
At the Cheesecake Factory in Falls Church, VA. Peppermint Bark Cheesecake-"The best Jerry, the best!"!
With the 'DC Boyack's' at the DC Temple, where Bowen shouted in the middle of the choir performance, "How many more songs are you going sing?"
The DC Temple
There was a live Nativity scene at the Temple, so when it was over, Wes & I jumped in for our chance to have our picture taken. This would have been a classic Christmas card, if the picture would have turned out better.
Wes & Ben
Amy & the cutest Santa!
At the Jazz Game
Up Millcreek Canyon
Playing BINGO in Mesquite. By far the best way to gamble. You pay $6 for an hour worth of fun, free drinks, and pricelss people watching.
Wes & Rus playing the Wii
Cheering on the Utes during the Sugar Bowl
Go UTES!! Double the reason to CELEBRATE!! The Utes winning the Sugar Bowl, and our 5 year Anniversary!!! What a great day for the Boyack's!
We at at In-n-Out in St. George for dinner before the Sugar Bowl. When the Utes went up
21-0, the guys agreed that they would eat at In-n-Out again if they win. So here they are ready to order (again). Two In-n-Out Burgers in 4 hours, ugh!
At the Nutcracker, Amy, Nance, & Gabi
At last, but certainly not least, the High School gals meeting for lunch over the holidays. What a fun day to see you gorgeous ladies, and catch up. Love you girls!

Great pictures and great memories Amy! I'm so glad you were able to see Williamsburg at Christmas time with all the beautiful decorations. Glad you could use the cider mugs too! Eric, Andrea and boys love having family visits in D.C. so you made their December fun too. December really was an action packed month for both of you and to top off your 5th anniversary with a UTE win was fabulous! Congratulations!

That's so fun you got to go back to D.C. for a visit!! I LOVE that place - so many memories! :) Oh, and the Temple nativity? Yeah - Steve and I were actually Joseph and Mary in it one time back when we lived in Baltimore. I don't know how we got suckered in to that, but we had to dress up - fake beard, and everything. So that REALLY brought back a fun memory for me to see you two in the scene!

Oh, and Wes makes a really good Santa! How funny! Looks like you had a great holiday!

PS - I'm soo sorry we didn't make it to the intern party. My family had gone up to our cabin that weekend, and we didn't get home in time! How was it??
