We took the direct flight to Cabo (which is always a bonus), we stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset resort, which was beautiful-and the resort was only 40% full because so many people cancelled their vacations...so lucky again for us, it was pretty quiet.
We had such a fun time driving through Cabo (renting a car-highly recommended by us-and before I knew it, Wes was driving just like the locals, and fitting right in), walking through the local parts of town, eating some delicious carne asada tacos (with ample amounts of guacamole), relaxing by the pools, getting in the ocean, going to church & seeing all the cute kids, and of course we got suckered into a time share presentation (which although was long & brutal, was worth it because we did it on the first day, had a delicious breakfast, and got our entire car rental covered)-the best part of the presentation was when Wes said to the 5th salesperson, who was offering/pressuring us on who knows what-(we were VERY done with the whole timeshare presentation by now), and had said 'NO' over & over again... Wes says to him, "You could probably throw money at us, and we'd still say no at this time." I think he understood then that we wanted to get outa there.
Cabo was wonderful, and came at a perfect time for us...Wes graduating school, and of course before this little bambino comes into the world and changes our lives as we know it...so it was like a little 'babymoon' (as some call it), and in the Boyack family it was known as our 'last hurrah!'
Wes found a chocolate croissant while we were walking through town in San Jose' del Cabo, and was excited to take a picture for his mom & family...they'll appreciate this pic.
At the Sky Pool-at the very top of the resort
Pueblo Bonito Sunset
Under the canopy at the Pueblo Bonito Rose' (sister resort)
At the pool, under the canopy at the Sunset, which saved our pale skin...
I decided on the mango bar for dessert
Wes is happy about his 'Magnum' ice cream bar. He says they are super tasty, and you can only find them in Mexico & Europe-for some reason not in the states.
At the hotel, in the lobby gardenOur favorites were the Pina Colada & Stawberry (Miami Vice)
At the pool at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica (sister resort, adults only, next to the Sunset)
After dinner at Pueblo Bonito Sunset
We found a street called 'October 12th'-Wes' B-day!

Getting onto the golf cart. Thank goodness for them, the hills were quite steep.
The baby bump officially popped out at 24 weeks in Mexico! (it could have been all the guacamole, who knows?) Funny how the people there were so blunt about the baby & pregnancy. The first two people I talked to at the car rental asked me if I was having a boy or girl...funny how no one here asks if you are pregnant...just in case, I guess.
The baby bump was used as a good drink holder while at the pool.

You guys are so cute!! I love all the fun vacations you get to go on. Someday. . . . Love you both!
that looks soooo fun! You look great by the way!
Ahhh.... it looks like SO MUCH FUN!! I'm a little jealous. I loved Wes's comment about them throwing $ and you still saying no. Too funny. What a great little getaway for you guys before your twosome becomes a threesome. You definitely needed your last hurrah!
And those tacos have my mouth watering. YUM!!
Dang it! Those chocolate croissants look good! Family memories and joke over the years trying to resist chocolate croiossants. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time. Cabo is wonderful and it makes me want to go down there again soon. You were pretty brave to drive in Mexico Wes with their crazy laws. I'm glad you celebrated with your "LAST HURRAH!" There will be many more hurrahs in the future with your new little family.
I'm so glad you had your "last hurrah!" It looks like it was a good one! And Amy, I love seeing that little baby bump! You look so great! I can't wait to see you guys in July!
And yum yum on those tacos and miami vices! We had a miami vice when we went there and I'm drooling thinking about it now...
What a fun trip. I am sufficiently jealous! You look darling! What a great graduation get-a-way. Congratulations by the way!
You're prego! Congrats. Looks like you guys had fun. I am super jealous! Baby boys are so fun!
